Lord of the Rings: Gollum – The Lord of the Rings game about Gollum reveals the first trailer

Last year, Daedalic Entertainment announced The Lord of the Rings: Golluma title action adventure game new set in JRR Tolkien’s fantasy universe. However, since then little information about the game has been revealed, maybe just screenshots that don’t bring too much news. However, recently, Daedalic Entertainment has officially brought the first trailer of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum.

The game that marks the first collaboration between Deadalic Entertainment and Tolkien Estate, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum revolves around Gollum – one of the most classic and haunting characters in The Lord of the Rings. The game will be set many years after winning the One Ring and before the events of War of the Ring.​

Deadalic has shared that their Gollum won’t be quite the same as the Gollum in the Lord of the Rings movies, this trailer confirms it once again. As can be seen in the game, Gollum looks smaller, cuter and more sympathetic than the character played by Andy Serkis, which makes perfect sense for the game.​

The game will combine stealth gameplay with free-climbing parkour, similar to the game Prince of Persia. As an action fighting game, Gollum can also secretly destroy enemies, which is also suitable for this character. However, this will not be easy and comes with great troubles and dangers. It is known that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will officially release in 2021 on new consoles such as Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC platform.​
