After overwhelming competition in the first two days, Team Liquid was crowned MegaFon Winter Clash champion with an undefeated record.
The third day is also the final day of the tournament starting with a match in the losing bracket. Team Secret and LGD Gaming face off in round 2. This is a very dramatic series. Both teams have tit-for-tat in all 3 games.
LGD won the first game despite losing most of the teamfights. LGD’s ingenious resource gathering and management skills gave them a late-game advantage and a 1-0 lead.
Secret responded in game 2, fighting fiercely for resources so that LGD could not repeat the victory in game 1. The fights were much more balanced than in the previous game, but Secret kept the advantage and equalized 1- first.
The decisive match was an even match that lasted 47 minutes. But after the mid game, LGD was the team in clear control. They controlled the tempo of the game and gradually broke through Secret’s defense to win. LGD advances to the finals of the losing bracket. They will play against Na`Vi to find the next team to the Finals against Team Liquid.
Game 1 was a tough game against LGD. They had to fend off attacks from Na`Vi. But just like how LGD beat Secret in game 3, Na`Vi took the initiative in the later stages of the game and finished game 1 just before 50 minutes.
Compared to game 1, game 2 took place extremely easily with Na`Vi. They calmly solved all the problems that LGD gave. Solid defense and methodical attack, Na`Vi finished the match. They advanced to the Grand Finals for a rematch with Team Liquid.
Despite being the bottom team, Na`Vi attacked Liquid first from the beginning of game 1. As if they were starting to gain some advantage, Liquid counterattacked strongly. Having failed in a game where they started off stronger, Na`Vi seemed to be in a state of dismay in subsequent games.
Both Game 2 and Game 3 proceed in the same direction. Liquid played too firmly. In both games, Liquid has more than 30 lives and Na`Vi has not yet 15. Besides, Liquid also dominates in terms of resources.
