The legendary Team Liquid Dota 2 team, led by Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi, has found a new destination called Nigma.
With an impressive history, including winning The International 2017 and runner-up The International 2019, the former Liquid Dota 2 roster is one of the strongest teams of all time.
However, after leaving the North American organization in September, this squad went to find a new destination. Instead of joining a new organization, members create new homes for themselves.
On November 25, Kuroky and four members announced the establishment of Nigma. After months of anticipation, here comes the big announcement. Each of the previous members on November 24 posted their drawings related to black holes (Black Hole).
“After four years under Team Liquid, our Dota team decided to follow their dream: to build their own team.” Team Liquid CEO Victor “Nazgul” Goossens spoke in September.
Nigma will return to the Dota 2 arena after missing the Chengdu Major for a vacation.
Nigma’s lineup is as follows:
- Position 1: Amer ‘Miracle-‘ Al-Barkawi
- Position 2: Aliwi ‘w33’ Omar
- Position 3: Ivan ‘MC’ Ivanov
- Position 4: Maroun ‘GH’ Merhej
- Position 5: Kuro ‘KuroKy’ Salehi Takhasomi
Nigma will have the opportunity to attend major tournaments such as DreamLeague Season on January 13, and ESL One Los Angeles in March.
