How to turn off PlayStation 5

Turn off PS5 via Rest Mode

Turning off the PS5 is really just one of those power button options. The PlayStation 5 can also run in sleep mode – Rest Mode – a low power state similar to the PC’s Sleep Mode.

In Rest Mode, depending on the system settings, the PS5 can charge drivers, download software & game updates, install games you buy in the PlayStation store on your phone or computer. The lights on the console will turn orange when in Rest Mode.

How to turn off PS5

1. Press the button PlayStation menu to open the Quick menu, present at the bottom of the screen.
