How to create a dome in SketchUp

Step 1: Take the arc tool in the left toolbar and draw an arc.

Then continue to draw a small arc on the inside and outline as shown below.

Step 2: Use the 3D shape tool in the left toolbar to drag the shape in step 1 into a 3D shape.

Step 3: Next use the tool Midpoint to determine the center of the figure.

Step 4: From that center drag a straight line upwards, then continue to draw arcs as shown below.

Step 5: Click on the block below then right click to select Explode.

Then click on the outside border of the cube.

Step 6: Then you select the 3D contour tool as shown and click on the face of the arc just drawn in step 4.
