YouTuber Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is one of the most popular youtubers, with over 91 million subscribers in the battle with Bollywood’s T-Series brands.

With his popularity on this website, many fans have predicted how much money PewDiePie really makes. News sites like Forbes believe PewDiePie earns close to $12 million a year.

PewDiePie opened up about the topic in a March 29 video, where he answered some of the most searched questions on Google about him – including the YouTuber’s earnings.

One article said the YouTuber earns $3,400 an hour working 40-hour weeks, and PewDiePie doesn’t deny this.

“I don’t know exactly how much I make every day,” admits PewDiePie. “But that number doesn’t seem too far off, it’s really an unbelievable income range if you think about it.”

If PewDiePie is right, that means the YouTuber makes almost $7 million a year.

Despite his huge financial assets, PewDiePie insists that “money is not everything”, and said to live modestly to avoid being controlled by his financial success.

“I didn’t start YouTube to make money,” he says of his wealth. “…With the money I make, I try to live modestly, because I don’t want to – I want to live a normal life. I don’t want money to change my life.”

The YouTuber then talked about his future financial goals, saying he hopes to save enough money to buy a house in Japan for future vacations – as well as a pension.

Although he did not specify how much he is worth, PewDiePie said he is “absolutely” worth more than $20 million, estimated by a research website.

While PewDiePie quickly became successful thanks to his horror video games, the YouTuber attracted a huge number of subscribers thanks to his battle with T-Series, which lasted nearly half a year.
