Fortnite meteorite destroys Dusty Depot, creates Dusty Divot

After weeks of rumors and predictions, the meteorite has finally hit the Battle Royale island in Fortnite. However, Tilted Towers is not the target, but Dusty Depot.

This change comes after an update that marked the start of Season 4. The update also brings a new Battle Pass with new skins that unlock as players level up, and the consumable item anti-gravity, and of course: changes to the game’s map.

After logging in for the first time after the update, players are shown a clip of a large meteor hitting the island. The meteor’s location is not apparent until the player leaves the Battle Bus for the first time, with a new depression replacing the Dusty Depot area.

The area has now been renamed Dusty Divot, with debris still strewn around it, while half of the old Depot’s warehouses still exist. Dusty Divot looks like an area for studying asteroid impacts. It perfectly matches the scene at the end of the video: after the collision, a radioactive explosion broke out – this could be the source of the power to explain the appearance of the upcoming superhero costumes in the game. .

Dusty Divot isn’t the only change – the map will also have a brand new area in the Northeast of the map called Risky Reels. With the information completely matching what the dataminers found in the data file, it is likely that the map tron ​​Season 4 will be continuously improved (in line with what the dataminer said) over the next few weeks.
