How many game launchers are there on your taskbar or desktop right now? The author of the article has seven: Windows Store, Uplay, Steam, Origin, Epic Games Store, Rockstar and Bethesda Launcher. Not to mention some of you have Battle.net, Itch.io and a few more.

But since last year, GOG Galaxy 2.0 has been on a journey to remove redundant icons on the device and aggregate game libraries into one application. That makes it easy to manage and access the games you need to play. Not to mention GOG Galaxy 2.0 also has more management of paid services from many game providers and friends lists on different platforms.

As of today, Xbox Live is the only service officially integrated on the Galaxy, but now the Epic Games Store is also joining the game. This isn’t exactly special news since GOG Galaxy previously had a community add-on for the platform. But Galaxy continues to develop and add more features, which means that the Epic Store is officially integrated.

“We are delighted that the Epic Games Store has integrated into GOG Galaxy 2.0,” said Steve Allison, CEO of Epic Games Store. “This is an important step towards breaking down barriers between PC stores, providing a unified experience for players to manage their PC game library.”

Tim Sweeney, CEO of Epic Games, also shared his thoughts:

This is a welcome move when Epic Games previously monopolized many games on their Store. Epic Games Store is still continuing to give away free games every week in the near future.
