A new gameplay trailer for the sequel to the successful game: Ori and the Blind Forest appeared at Xbox E3 2018. Like the first part, Ori and the Will of the Wisps will be a beautiful platform game with hand-drawn graphics just like the first part.
The sequel promises a new combat system and customization options – something we saw in the trailer. In addition to the dreamlike graphics, the audience also admires the dangerous but interesting world of Ori: with challenging sentences waiting for players, and impressive boss battles.
As for the game’s plot, Ori and the Will of the Wisps will take players on a quest to find new allies who will help us uncover the truth about the lost, while better understanding Ori’s destiny.
For those unfamiliar with the series, Ori and the Will of the Wisps is a platform adventure game and the player assumes the role of Ori, the white guardian deity. In terms of gameplay, the game is similar to Metroidvania style: Ori will learn the skills to go to new areas in the game, and explore old lands in new ways. The series is currently only available on Microsoft platforms, which means only those who own Microsoft and Xbox One will be able to play the game.
The first installment of the series, Ori and the Blind Forest, was critically acclaimed and reaped many precious rewards in 2015. The sequel, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, is due out in 2019.
