With the end of Microsoft’s E3 2018 event, Phil Spencer and the team left a lot of excitement in the hearts of fans: announcing 15 new games for everyone. The game is due out in Spring 2019, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC fans can start taking part in the demon hunt. For those unfamiliar with the series, Devil May Cry was originally intended to be a follow-up to the Resident Evil franchise before getting its own series. The game follows Dante in his quest to avenge the man who killed his mother by eliminating demons and monsters from the world. Capcom also announced its plans:

Years have passed since the legions of hell entered this world, but a demon invasion has begun, and humanity’s last hope will lie in the hands of three lone demon hunters. , each has their own way of playing. Encountered by fate and thirst for revenge, these demon hunters will face off against demons if they want to survive. The devil you know returns in the most modern way, creating great action sequences for this generation.

The new game will follow the plot of Devil May Cry 4 (2008) instead of the reboot of DmC: Devil May Cry. We will see the return of series director Hideaki Itsuno, who was not involved in the development of DmC, as well as Capcom handing the development of DmC to the Ninja Theory studio. The game will have the presence of Dante and Nero of Devil May Cry 4.

Finally, this series has also returned to its roots with the main plot on platforms. The franchise has been around for years, with the Devil May Cry remaster and DLC for Monster Hunter World. Hopefully, the names on the original development team will restore the reputation for Devil May Cry.

Devil May Cry 5 will be available in spring 2019.
