Everyone’s favorite and most hated position – carry. They are the key to your victory so make sure the carry farm stays safe. Never get the last hit or the carry will run into the jungle at level 3.

One of the best things about every new patch is that you get to see new heroes, but it only lasts a few weeks. Here are 4 carry top tiers in the current meta.

LONE DRUID

Lone Druid is considered the hero of the patch. From not appearing and not being played before the patch to being able to play anywhere, Lone Druid is one of the most changed heroes from the Outlanders update. At Divine/Immortal rank, this bear pair has a win rate of 55.47% and a pick rate of 3.17%.

A lot of changes are mentioned in the previous post but basically, the Spirit Bear is buffed and the Lone Druid’s ability to withstand hits is increased. LD is now strong at every stage of the game, from lane, to mid-game farming to late-game carry.

The most common way to play Lone Druid is to max out the Spirit Bear and Spirit Link as soon as possible, ignoring the other moves. At level 9, you add one point for Savage Roar, then talent and then ultimate.

As for talent, most choose +250 Health at level 10, then +10 Spirit Bear armor, then 0 entangle cooldown and finally 0.25 Spirit Bear attack time.

URSA

Return of the bears? Ursa used to be a forgotten carry in the months before this patch came out. And now Ursa is the carry safe lane hero with the second highest win rate in Divine/Immortal rank. Ursa has a pick rate of 15.72% and a win rate of 55.47%.

Earthshock reworked, now allows you to jump forward 250 units and smash to the ground. This change revives Ursa’s laning phase because the hero is now very dangerous when stacking Fury Swipes and chasing enemies with Earthshock. Some have overlooked Blink Dagger thanks to this new jumping ability.

Regarding skills, max Fury Swipes with one point for Earthshock at level 2. Level 6 get ultimate and after max Fury Swipes, max Overpower then Earthshock.

In terms of talent, at level 10, +2 mana regeneration is more common than +8 strength and has a higher win rate. After level 10, +14 Agility is more common, followed by +16 Fury Swipes damage, and Enrage gains 80% status resistance at level 25, although +600 AoE Earthshock has a 3.6% higher win rate.

DROW RANGER

In this meta, Drow Ranger is back on the top tier list. This archer has a 54.78% win rate and 15.18% pick rate in the Divine/Immortal rank.

Drow Ranger has his global skill replaced with AoE that deals damage. In the previous patch, Drow was just in the jungle and pressed E to push the lane, taking space to farm until he got 3-6 items.

Valve decided to remove this gameplay and now Drow can no longer instantly kill creeps with his ultimate, nor has the global skill. But in return, she has an AoE ability that shoots Frost Arrows. After being forced to leave the jungle and join the team fight, Drow Ranger was one of the top carry.

The usual build is to maximize Multishot, then Frost Arrows. Raise your ultimate at level 6 and a point on Gust at level 8.

As for talent, at level 10, +5 stats are only 30% more common than +20 movement speed and have a 0.4% higher win rate. At level 15, +12 Agility has an 84% pick rate, and at level 15, +35% Multishot damage is also picked up for 84%. At level 25, 40% Cooldown Reduction and +15% Marksmanship are fairly balanced.

VOID SPIRIT

It is not too strange that the new heroes added to the game are very strong. We see Snapfire in the top support meta right now and now Void Spirit is in the top carry as well. Void Spirit has 54.22% win rate and 4.06% pick rate in Divine/Immortal rank.

It is very difficult to win against Void Spirit. Even with agile heroes like Mirana, Clockwerk, Riki or Lina, it’s hard to get rid of Void Spirit once he starts chasing you. Void Spirit is one of those heroes that can appear out of nowhere, shorten great distances, disable you for a long time, and have enough burst damage to kill you before you can react.

A common build of Void Spirit is to maximize Resonant Pulse and Dissimilate, and then the ultimate. Once they are maxed, start on Aether Remnant.

As for the talent, take +30 Damage at level 10 (though its win rate is lower than the other pick), followed by +100 Resonant Pulse damage, -7 seconds Astral Step charge recovery, and level 25 200% Astral Step crit.

EPILOGUE

When the community knows which heroes are strong, they will definitely play them a lot. The four heroes on this list appear a lot in the game and it’s really not fun to play against them, especially Lone Druid.

Let’s hope that many new heroes will appear to make the game more diverse in the near future.
