The grand finals of ESL One Birmingham 2019 took place after Team Secret defeated PSG.LGD in the losing bracket final. Team Secret’s opponent will be Evil Geniuses.
The two teams have met many times recently and Secret has always been the dominant team, especially with their current form. However, after breaking the third place curse, EG looked like a whole new team, much stronger than before. Entering the first game of the BO5 series, the two teams threw everything they had. While Secret wanted a quick win, EG set up a solid defense to turn the tide. Unfortunately, Secret was too strong to fight back and the match quickly ended.

EG wasn’t ready to surrender yet and in the next game the boys took complete control from start to finish – not giving Secret any chance to protest. After being equalized by EG, Secret quickly took the lead thanks to Yapz0r’s talented Enigma.

Just one more game to win, Secret is ready to end the ESL One Birmingham 2019 tournament, but EG still hasn’t given up. Three games in a row, Secret owns unbreakable IO EG when the North American boys played so perfectly, only allowing the opponent to win 6 lives the whole game.
In the decisive game, no team surrendered. The two sides struggled back and forth for the first 40 minutes but in the end it was the Major champion, Team Secret, who rose to win.
