Team Secret is taking a long break after The International 2019 and will not be playing at the first Major of this season. With a month to go until the Minor and Major qualifiers, the European team is ready to announce big changes.

Yeik “MidOne” Zheng will be leaving the team after three years with him, and his position will be taken by Polish carry, Michał “Nisha” Jankowski.

“The need to attend the previous DPC Season required long-term stays in Europe for bootcamps, Majors, and travel around the world for tournaments in other regions. MidOne has sacrificed a lot to compete and contribute to the team’s success at the top of Dota. He has proven himself to be an invaluable player and a great companion, and we couldn’t have asked for a better teammate. During MidOne’s time on the roster, he became a three-time Major champion, won multiple tournaments, and represented us at The International for the past three years – including 4th at last TI, The team’s highest ranking to date. We’re so grateful for everything he’s done for everyone, and wish him well-deserved rest during his time off,” Team Secret announced.

With Nisha changing roles, Team Secret’s new carry will be the TI7 champion, Lasse “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen. Along with Matu, Team Secret will bring in former Liquid coach Lee “Heen” Seung Gon to replace Lee “SunBhie” Jeong-jae.

“We will be parting ways with our coach, SunBhie, as well as MidOne, who has been with us since the end of 2017. Sunbhie’s work behind the scenes is diverse in supporting the team, demonstrating flexibility as well as versatility. your friendship. In competition, he helps with draft strategy preparation, is in the game room, and analyzes the game – extremely valuable assets for making changes in matches and throughout the tournament. SunBhie has always been a consultant and friend, and he was under a lot of pressure from the DPC season while being the 6th companion throughout the journey. We thank him for all his contributions and time together, and wish him the best of luck in the future.”

Secret’s lineup from position 1 to 5 is as follows:

  • Lasse “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen
  • Michał “Nisha” Jankowski
