Team Liquid – TI7 champions – will face China’s last hope of PSG.LGD in the win bracket after Vici Gaming was eliminated earlier at TI8. Liquid are currently on an 11-game winning streak and are hungry to become their first two-time TI champion. But to do that, the European boys must overcome the Chinese giants. The winner of this series will advance to the finals of the winner’s bracket and secure a place in the top 3, while the losing team will drop to the loser bracket.
This series is clearly expected by everyone as every moment in the game always receives enthusiastic cheers from the crowd. PSG.LGD was the first team to take the lead in networth but Liquid quickly turned the game around after 10 minutes. Unfortunately, LGD’s brilliant tackle helped them team wipe opponents all over the map. before the clock hit the 20th minute.

Things didn’t work out for Liquid as Miracle’s Phantom Lancer was completely countered by Somnus’ Leshrac in all situations. Just over half an hour, GG was knocked by Liquid and LGD was the winner of game 1.
Entering game 2, Liquid picked the Gyro-Wisp duo that LGD used to overwhelm game 1, Alchemist for Miracle. However, LGD made sure they were ready for Miracle, not giving Alchemist his own space to farm anywhere – fy’s Earthshaker completely destroyed the TI7 champion.
This is only the 16th time in 4,061 pro #Dota2 LAN matches since TI5 that any hero has had 12+ kills at the 17:00 mark. @LGDgaming‘s Maybe is OWNING as Bloodseeker on the #TI8 main stage.https://t.co/pwfwhqbXBl

LGD swept the opponent completely as Somnus’ Bloodseeker repeatedly crushed hero after hero, ending the game with a record of 16-0-11. The failed high ground defense forced Liquid to type GG again when the clock ticked a little over half an hour.

With this important victory, PSG.LGD entered the top 3 at The International 2018 and pushed the TI7 champion Team Liquid to the losing bracket.
With that win LGD became the first organization to finish in the top four at The International, four times.
Evil Geniuses need to beat OG next at #ti8 to become the first and only team to finish in the top three, four times at TI.
