WePlay’s Asia representatives! Bukovel Minor has been identified. Southeast Asia’s Geek Farm and China’s Royal Never Give Up will fly to Ukraine for the Dota 2 Minor.
The two did not win the right to go directly to the DreamLeague Season 13 Major but quickly won the place to the Minor. The team that wins the Minor this time will get a ticket to the Leipzig Major.
Both teams performed exceptionally well in the Minor qualifiers. Geek Farm did not lose a game in the whole event, winning Cignal Ultra 3-0 in the Southeast Asia qualifying final.
On the other front, RNG had a bit of a hard time losing to EHOME in their first series. However, the rest of the journey went well. They went completely undefeated after that, beating CDEC to qualify for the Minor.
The Bukovel Minor will be RNG’s first DPC tournament this season as the team failed to qualify for the first Minor/Major qualifiers. The impressive results at The International 2019 made them the dark horse of the China region, but RNG couldn’t keep up with Vici Gaming and Invictus Gaming. Hopefully this time RNG will replicate the success of IG in the first tournament of the season. IG previously won The Summit 11 Minor before taking 3rd place at the MDL Chengdu Major.
This Minor will be Geek Farm’s second chance. This lineup uses new elements, but cannot compete with Fnatic and TNC Predators. Geek Farm this season ranked 6th at The Summi 11 Minor. This will be an opportunity for the Southeast Asian boys to improve their rankings.
