Fnatic was also caught up in the post-TI8 transfer window and now they’ve announced the first phase of roster improvement. This means that three players and coach Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling have to leave. The three members of that team are Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao, Saahil “UNiVeRsE” Arora, and Johan “pieliedie” Åström.
Both Abed Aze “Abed” Yusop and Djardel “DJ” Jicko Mampusti were all re-signed by Fnatic, but the other three members were not. According to the official announcement, Fnatic is not satisfied with the team’s results at the most prestigious tournament of the year: The International 2018. Fnatic only finished 13-16 after being kicked out by Serenity in the first round of the playoffs.

Fnatic’s current Dota 2 roster is as follows:
— Abed Aze “Abed” Yusop
— Djardel “DJ” Jicko Mampusti
Here’s what EternaLEnVy has to say about leaving Fnatic:
Playing in Southeast Asia and with Fnatic is an amazing as well as important experience. This is the first time I’m not in Toronto, the first time I’ve lived in a team house – it’s all happening in the most Dota-enthusiastic area.
Our end result was disappointing and that’s not what the team was aiming for. But I hope what I bring to Fnatic, and Southeast Asia in general, during my time there will help the future of the team. Now that I have parted with the team, I can hope that we will meet again on the battlefield. Thank you and goodbye.
The departure of UniVeRsE and Aui_2000 from Fnatic is not surprising because a few days ago UniVeRsE will be replaced by Jingjun. “Sneyking” Wu from VGJ.Storm and Aui_2000 are no longer coaches – however they could represent a different organization next season.
Rumor has it that Abed is leaving Fnatic to form a new team with OpTic member Quinn “CCnC” Callahan and Neta “33” Shapira, but with Abed continuing to sign with Fnatic, this information is no longer true.
