Discover the latest Neverwinter update – The Redeemed Citadel

This early year, Neverwinter introduced content in episodes as a way to connect and develop the story. Rage of Bel leads the player from defending the citizens of the cursed Citadel of Vallenhas to facing off against one of Zariel’s lieutenants. The launch of Avernus saw Zariel’s struggle and redemption. The Redeemed Citadel continues the story, where the player assists Zariel to turn the Bleeding Citadel into once again the angelic fortress it once was.

What interesting things does the latest update of The Redeemed Citadel in Neverwinter bring?

Milestones and rewards

This content requires the character to reach level 80 and complete the Avernus campaign, as well as the Mote of Virtue story. The content of The Redeemed Citadel is divided into 4 episodes or 4 different milestones. Each milestone is built on top of each other and on a shared server-side effort to rebuild the Citadel. Players contribute to the rebuilding by assisting Zariel in slaying monsters and completing Heroic Encounters in Avernus, the Holy Register of Deputation Quests, and by performing weekly quests. Weekly quests challenge players to slay battles, search for treasures or explore dungeons to try to earn Favor – a currency that can be exchanged for a variety of items. Each week will bring new missions.

Completing the first milestone on the server opens the way to the next episode and will unlock new rewards and new areas of the Citadel. This includes the Hunt Masters location, where players will be able to use the loot included in the new Avernus Hunt Key Bundle.

Players also have personal milestones to complete and various rewards along the way.

For those who prefer to be more competitive, there is a server leaderboard that tracks each player’s contribution, with the top 100 players receiving a Divine Vorpal Enchantment. This enchantment includes the abilities of the original Vorpal enchantment, but has unique visual effects specific to the Divine version and is separate from the Holy Vorpal enchantment that can be purchased upon completion of the first milestone. Each milestone has its own leaderboard and rewards for top participants.

Race Aasimar

The Redeemed Citadel introduces a whole new race – the Aasimar. Aasimar was born to serve the champions of the gods and carry the light of heaven. This race will be unlocked after the 4th and final milestone is completed for those who have purchased all of Reforger’s Blessing and collected all the premium rewards. This race’s abilities include Ability Scores, which add 2 points to any 2 stats, Celestial Presence which allows all nearby members to increase their HP by 1%, and Celestial Superiority which increases damage dealt and spawn points. 1% max HP, heals and takes 1% less damage from all attack sources.
