Days Gone by Sony and Bend Studio is the highly anticipated action adventure game. This game promises to revive the post-apocalyptic and zombie genre. Therefore, fans are eager to know more information about the game project. Recently, the studio has revealed more information about the gameplay including customization, difficulty and more.
A few days ago, Days Gone creative director John Garvin had an interview with Game Informer. Speaking of customization, protagonist Deacon St. John can customize the motorcycle including upgrading as well as painting the car, increasing the speed. But unfortunately, our main character cannot change his costume.
Garvin then talked about the difficulty of the game, when asked if the game was difficult and he replied that it was not. No more information has been revealed, but Bend Studio shows that they will create a challenge for the game. Those who want to see more of the gameplay should drop by to check out this 40-minute gameplay trailer.
Notably, when asked if the game will feature large cities, Garvin confirmed that Days Gone will feature “large city areas like Marion Forks.” [Oregon].” Garvin said the area can accommodate about “800 people”. However, it is still unclear how the population density will be divided in the game: whether these 800 people are just in the story or 800 are the actual number of NPCs in a city.
Talking about the exploration process in the game, the creative director confirmed that players will gradually explore the map for the opportunity to fast travel to those points later. In addition, the motorcycle of Deacon St. John will also be damaged during his travels and the vehicle can also be lost, forcing the player to go out in search of it. Moreover, the weather in the game will be flexible and affect the durability of the vehicle.
Finally, in perhaps the most interesting detail regarding Days Gone, Garvin shared that the game will be released before The Last of Us: Part 2. This shows that he already has inside information about Naughty Dog. We’ll probably know more about Days Gone and The Last of Us: Part 2 when Sony’s E3 2018 event launches next month.
