The Game Award is an annual event organized by Geoff Keighley for game makers to introduce new trailers, and more importantly, give awards for the “best” categories. 107 games were nominated for these categories during the 2019 event, with Death Stranding leading the way with 8 and Control at 7.
Nominations are voted on by a panel of 80 “entertainers and influencers”. After the nomination period, the awards are voted on by fans, and voting is now open.
Other big games this year include Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, with five nominations; Resident Evil 2 Remake and The Outer Worlds both have four nominations.
