CSGO patch April 16 nerf Deagle, add Warmup mode

The new CSGO patch just came out on April 16 with dozens of changes. Deagle has been nerfed after a week of being buffed up, the game has a new Warmup mode, and some features borrowed from Valorant will appear in the game.

After a few weeks of silence, the CSGO developer is constantly balancing the game. The last major update changed Krieg, Deagle, and more.

However, some of those changes have been tweaked in this week’s update. Deagle was nerfed, maps changed, and some new content for the game.

Today we’re shipping a number of updates:
-We’re testing 1v1 Warmup arenas which replace current Warmup. These are available now in Wingman on Train and Vertigo.

The Deagle jump is over

The Deagle is the only weapon that has been rebalanced, while the map changes include Anubis, Chlorine, Vertigo and Train.

Vertigo is the most unexpected change – Windows in the mid has been removed, the T stairs now have a narrower exit, and the site is now not as airy as before.

Most other maps have the lighting adjusted, but in Anubis the bomb radius will be wider.

Time for Warmup

Warmup mode is finally here after years of waiting. Players can solo 1v1 with friends while waiting for the game. However, there are a few requirements that Valve is still testing.

Warmup is only for Wingman mode, so you can fight with your teammates until you find a match. Also, it takes place only for the Vertigo and Train games.

Warmup will take place in Vertigo site B, and a special 1v1 area in train. However, this is only the beginning of this new mode. We will probably have more features.

In addition to the above changes, CSGO also added a feature from the rival FPS game, Valorant. You can now see the player’s mind being observed, and copy them into your config.
