CS:GO lands in China; New box released

Valve has released a new CS:GO update, officially launching in China along with a new crate.

CS:GO China is currently operated by Perfect World, the game publisher that also won the rights to publish Valve’s Dota 2 game in China.

In China, CS:GO will be free, players need to identify through Perfect World. Once the determination is successful, they will be awarded “Prime” status and will be allowed to play on a server with low ping and using a match-making system exclusive to Prime users.

For the next month, players who download CS:GO from Perfect World will receive a free graffiti pattern and two stickers. These, created by Perfect World, will go on sale worldwide in October, Valve said.

Yesterday’s update introduced the Spectrum 2 Case, which includes community-designed weapon skins, including “an extremely rare item from the second generation of knives in Chroma.”

The beta changes to Glock, P250, and armorless aimpunch a few days ago, have been officially released. The full update can be found below:

[ PERFECT WORLD ]

• CS:GO was officially launched in China, through the developer Perfect World.

• CS:GO Launcher can be downloaded from the Perfect World website http://www.csgo.com.cn/download/index.html, or the game can be downloaded by Perfect World players using the -perfectworld command, after Perfect World account has been created successfully.

• All Perfect World players who have a Perfect World account with the correct registration information and play CS:GO during the launch month, will receive a free gift box. This gift box will include the following exclusive accessories (for the duration of this offer only):

  • A sticker from “CS:GO Perfect World Sticker Capsule 1”

  • A sticker from “CS:GO Perfect World Sticker Capsule 2”

  • A sticker from “CS:GO Perfect World Graffiti Capsule”

• After the promotion ends, in October, Perfect World stickers and graffiti capsules will go on sale worldwide.

• Added Spectrum 2 Case, featuring 17 community designs. In Spectrum 2 Case, the extremely rare item will be the second generation knives located in Chroma.

[GAMEPLAY]

Changes from “1.36.0.3-rc1” CS:GO Beta will be released in this update:

• Significantly reduces aimpunch when not wearing armor

• Added changes to pistols with a focus on weapon skills.

• Glock: Small change favoring close-range shooters.

  • Increase base damage

  • Damage reduction at longer distances

  • Slight increase in accuracy when firing continuously

  • Slightly increased accuracy when moving

• P250: The P250 has been tweaked to encourage longer range shooting, especially against unarmored opponents.

  • Increase base damage

  • Reduced armor penetration

  • Improved damage at longer distances

  • Reduced movement accuracy
