Fnatic announced they have signed Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson from GODSENT and will be playing against them immediately.
The transfer of the 24-year-old was part of an exchange for Dennis “dennis” Edman to join GODSENT.
He became the second new member of fnatic’s roster this summer, preceded by Maikil “Goldsen” Selim, who was promoted from fnatic’s academy team.
This is the second time Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson has reunited with fnatic, having previously represented fnatic for 2 months, from August to October 2016.
Dennis has been with fnaitc since November 2015, when he was acquired from G2 for an undisclosed transfer fee. After he joined, the team had instant success, winning 6 international events in just 5 months, but then they went through a rough period with no results for 15-months.
“Dennis joined our team at the end of 2015 and his presence helped the team set up one of the most successful times in CS:GO, winning FACEIT, EPL, SLTV and IEM in just a few months,” in a statement from the Chief. fnatic game room Patrick “cArn” Sättermon.
“Replacing Dennis in the team’s place will be Lekr0, a player we’ve known quite well since last year, and also a player we believe has huge potential, which we hope to revive. This roster of Fnatic CS:GO.
“On behalf of everyone at Fnatic, I want to once again thank Dennis and congratulate him on his journey with us. And once again, congratulations to Lekr0 for reuniting with our organization!”
Fnatic will make their first offline debut with a new roster at DreamHack Masters Malmö, which will run from August 30 to September 3. Their first ESL Pro League match will be BIG next Tuesday.
With these changes, fnatic will have:
Robin “flusha” Rönnquist
