The return of Dignitas to Counter-Strike is showing a good sign. According to DBLTAP, the North American organization is looking to create a new lineup.
They are said to be testing Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærlih. Currently, Adam “friberg” Friberg, Richard “Xizt” Landström, and Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg are being targeted by Dignitas for this new roster.
We don’t know who will be the 5th member yet. Currently only friberg is a free agent, so Dignitas will have to negotiate with both Ninjas in Pajamas and fnatic if they want to buy f0rest and Xizt outright.
This trio used to be teammates at Ninjas in Pajamas when participating in CSGO, achieving 87 consecutive wins on offline maps. The team dominated the early CSGO era, with the ESL One: Cologne 2014 Major trophy.
friberg attended many major tournaments before leaving Heroic, and f0rest continues to be an impressive star of NiP, showing no signs of early retirement.
Dignitas CEO Michael “Prindi” Prindiville announced in early September that the organization was looking to “get back to CS:GO” and “build an empire.”
100 Thieves keeps their promise to return to this FPS arena. Meanwhile, compLexity is rebuilding the squad to become the next big guy. It looks like Dignitas will be the next organization to warm up to CSGO.
