With a 2-1 victory over Heroic (3-16 Nuke, 16-5 Mirage, 16-12 Inferno), CR4ZY became the DreamHack Open Rotterdam champion.
Heroic controlled Nuke from the start, narrowly winning the pistol round before crushing his opponent 9-0 (Heroic’s map pick). CR4ZY finally got the first score thanks to SHiPZ’s work and successfully clutched 1v1 in the following round to remove the gauze 9-2.
However, Heroic responded with a split A from Heaven with Hut, surprising CT and once again pushing CR4ZY into eco. The Danish team finished the first half with a score of 13-2. Snappi helped the team win the pistol round and quickly finished the first map with a score of 16-3.
At Mirage, Heroic once again showed his danger in pistol rounds, easily retaking A, but losing to a 2v5 advantage the following round. CR4ZY quickly reached the map point on the CT side at the score of 15-4. CR4ZY lost a round on CT when Heroic successfully deployed B, but that’s when the map ended. ottoNd and EspiranTo hit mid to end the map with a score of 16-5.
In the deciding map, Heroic dominated the pistol round again, leading 5-0 on T. This time, SHiPZ was still the pincer-breaker for CR4ZY, ace all five of the opponent’s members at banana, using three weapons. difference; AWP, USP-S and SG 553.
