CSGO Astralis signed with JUGi?

This news comes after an article from DBLTAP.com earlier this week, which stated that Astralis is “looking for an opportunity to recruit at least one more player” to their roster. Astralis announced a roster expansion to six from March, after reaching an agreement with Patrick “es3tag” Hansen, but the roster could even go up to eight.

Because es3tag can only join Astralis after his contract with Heroic ended at the end of June, JUGi will probably join the team first as the 23-year-old AWPer is a free agent and will “join the team immediately”, as reported by TV2.dk.

JUGi has been a free agent since late April, when his contract with North expired. Earlier in his career, he also played for OpTic, but was never able to replicate the form of his early career with Heroic and Tricked.

The 23-year-old’s peak period was from 2015-2016 when he became one of the game’s best AWPers. However, it is difficult to understand when JUGi reaches the star level of the world CS village with devices, s1mple or ZywOo, … despite being assessed as capable.

Astralis already has a veteran AWPer in the form of Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz, or even Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen can play very well in the role whenever given the opportunity. So the chance for YUGi to play regularly will not be too high, but nonetheless this will be a contract that will bring a variety of options for Astralis’ first team. Hopefully, being a teammate of the world’s top gamers will help the young Danish player reach the level of what people expect from him.
