While Electronic Arts has yet to confirm anything official about Battlefield this year, leaks online have shed some light on it. As we know for now, temporarily calling Battlefield V for the next one, will be set in World War II.
This week, players will be more excited to learn that Battlefield V will have a co-op mode. The leak states that this is a special mode that involves a group of players participating in “randomly generated Conquest missions.” It is likely that DICE will expand this mode more than just encapsulated in missions.
Obviously, we gamers have to wait and see if it is similar to Battlefield 3, the version that consists of two players fighting against the AIs in the game. It has not been confirmed yet that there will be an online leaderboard to compare its results with others in Battlefield V. Electronic Arts has also not announced details yet on how multiplayer can be played in co-op mode. by Battlefield V.
It is still unclear whether Battlefield V co-op will support split-screen or completely online co-op. The removal of split-screen in co-op has caused some controversy in older titles, as when Halo 5 removed campaign mode support for the feature. Electronic arts should consider split-screen before making decisions in Battlefield V.
Depending on how the developer implements the co-op mode in Battlefield V, it could make the game more appealing to old players as well as newcomers. Let’s wait for more details about the game, as well as its features at the EA Play event during this E3 2018.
There’s still no official release date for Battlefield V, but it’s likely to be released in 2018.
