Banning female streamers because of revealing clothes, Twitch was exposed to bias and discrimination

Swebliss, female streamer The Swedish celebrity was recently banned for 24 hours for “inappropriate attire.” However, she did not agree with this decision, saying that Twitch is sexist and discriminatory.

Twitch has strict guidelines and rules regarding the dress code of players streamer. The platform proved to be extremely tough and strict in punishing streamers, especially female streamers, when deliberately dressing poorly to catch views. However, sometimes Twitch issues bans that are somewhat unreasonable and controversial. In this case, Swebliss believes that the outfit she wears fully meets the requirements of the platform, Twitch’s ban on her account is unwarranted: “Twitch didn’t like the outfit I’ve worn on many occasions. five!?”

In the now-deleted post, Swebliss accused her decision to ban her broadcasts as discriminatory. During the 6 years of streaming, the female streamer has never had any trouble with her outfit, somehow this time. She also accused the platform of being sexist because male streamer xQc even livestreamed a hentai game for which he was only banned for 5 days. Not only that, many other streamers also do worse things on the air like insulting others, racist but without any punishment.

Swebliss said she contacted Twitch but did not receive any specific explanation.

Since this is the first time Swebliss has violated, the ban is only valid for 24 hours, but if the next mistake is made, the time is usually within 1 week, 30 days, even indefinitely. Like many other streamers who have also faced unfair bans, Swebliss said that he really “lost faith” in the platform.​
