The British Academy Games Awards, dubbed the “Game industry Oscars”, has kicked off.
Until the next appointment, in March every year, the British Academy Games Awards (award considered the Oscars of the world gaming industry) has officially entered the warm-up phase.
It is known that the British Academy Games Awards (BAGA) is an annual award presented by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). Considered one of the most prestigious awards of the global gaming industry, BAGA is the noble goal that every game is aiming for. This event was first held in 1998 with the best game going to GoldenEye 007.
To kick off BAGA 2018, the British Academy has just announced all the nomination categories. In which, the most interested is the category “Game of the year”. With 6 names participating, this nomination category promises to be a fierce competition of the best games.

At the awards ceremony last year, blockbuster Outer Wilds became the best game voted by BAFTA. As expected, this year’s British Academy Games Awards ceremony will be held on April 11 at Tobacco Dock auditorium, London. The event will be broadcast live on UK national TV and Twitch.
