Aghanim's Labyrinth: Strongest lineup to win

Aghanim’s Labyrinth: Strongest lineup to win

Aghanim’s Labyrinth is a custom game released during the Battle Pass TI10. It surpassed everyone’s expectations, and the best part about the event is that it’s free to all, not just Battle Pass holders. This is a four-player co-op mode, with a total of 12 heroes to choose from.

The first difficulty (out of a total of four difficulty levels) is pretty easy (maybe the second one). Teams can win with a variety of hero formations. But things get harder at higher levels and when that happens, we need to pick the right squad.

Over the years, many teams have tried their luck in Aghanim’s Trials, and looking at the results, we can see that one hero lineup is superior to the rest:

Tusk
Sniper
Weaver
Winter Wyvern

This four-hero lineup performed well in Aghanim’s Trials over the weekend. Here are the top 10 teams on Grand Magus difficulty from August 8-9.

Statistics in 20 teams:

  • Winter Wyvern appears 20 times
  • Tusk appears 18 times
  • Weaver appeared 18 times
  • Sniper appears 16 times

Obviously these four heroes are best suited to defeat Aghanim’s Labyrinth and not only that, they won all the challenges in about 20 minutes!

The question is how they build items for heroes. Here are some references:

Winter Wyvern

Tusk will be the hero to build support for teams like Vlad and Assault Cuirass. While other heroes only track damage and attack speed, including Winter Wyvern.

There are a few interesting things to note in their inventory. Each team has at least one Bloodthorn, possibly two. With the large amount of physical damage that heroes deal, it helps silence strong opponents and jerk strong crits. The main points here are that all four heroes have BKB. And BKB was bought in the last game, against Aghanim. The benefit of having BKB is simply directing all the debuffs from Aghanim and hitting the arm. Although we can only do it for 10 seconds, it is enough to help you deal the necessary amount of damage to Aghanim.

With such a clear hero lineup, we’ll have to wait and see if Valve will nerf or tweak these heroes. More notably, will the team add any new heroes to Aghanim’s Labyrinth. But until then, gather the four of you and use this formation to reach the hardest level!
