Max Payne is back with the Remake version.
Developer Remedy Entertainment has announced that they have partnered with publisher Rockstar Games to develop a Remake version of the popular 3rd-person shooter series Max Payne. Now, it seems that the gaming community will be able to re-experience the first two Max Payne games with extremely beautiful graphics. Both titles will be released under a single title and will launch for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X over the next few years.

The Max Payne Remake will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S. The project is currently in the “concept development stage”. In other words, it has not been fully produced yet and gamers will have to wait a long time to get more information about these two games. Thankfully, Remedy revealed a fair bit of information in a published press release stating that the game itself will be sponsored by Rockstar Games and will be developed on the brand new, Northlight Engine.
Before being known for Alan Wake and Control, Remedy Entertainment was best known for being the father of the Max Payne series of games. Remedy developed the first two games of this third-person shooter series and recorded many impressions in the hearts of gamers while the Max Payne 3 version was Rockstar Games but not very successful.
The first Max Payne was released in 2001, and was notable for its The Matrix-inspired slow-motion effects at the time. Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two, purchased the rights to the series in 2002, and published Remedy’s sequel, Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne in 2003.
