After FC Schalke 04, the two “big guys” officially appeared in PES 19

Konami definitely lost to EA in the copyright battle UEFA Champions League and Europa League in this year. But that does not mean that the game will not sign more copyrights with other leagues or teams. Surely Konami does not “lay still” for EA to dominate without rising up to fight. Unfortunately, the way that Konami is fighting makes many gamers want to “close their eyes and give up”.

From PES 2019 will be the first time in 10 years that PES does not have the copyright of the two most attractive tournaments on the planet – which has been considered the trump card of this game for the past decade. However, Konami is still diligently looking for other copyright tournaments to compete with the arch-rival FIFA. Let’s look at what Konami has accomplished so far.

This year’s release will include eight new fully licensed leagues from Scotland, Russia, Argentina, Denmark, Portugal, Switzerland, Belgium and Turkey. In addition, there are a number of teams from other leagues including FC Schalke, Liverpool, Barcelona. Recently, it’s my turn Celtic and Rangers will be two new names on the PES copyright list next year.

As usual, each club from these leagues will include sponsors, official jerseys, player names and other relevant stuff. For players in Scotland, this will surely be good news because it has been a long time since PES abandoned the image rights of these two big boys. However, for the vast majority of gamers around the world, this is no different from the story of “laughing out of tears”.
