Anthem
Referring to the games that disappointed the gaming community the most this year, it is impossible not to mention Bioware’s Anthem action role-playing blockbuster. Theoretically, this looks like an interesting game that combines the famous looter shooter genre with a customization system that allows players to switch what they want, interwoven with Bioware stories.
But unfortunately, unlike the excellent E3 trailer and hype, Anthem barely lived up to its original promise due to lackluster missions, a lack of interesting loot, and numerous post-launch bugs. It is known that the reason for this chaos is that despite being technically in development for 7 years, the developer only really got to work on Anthem in the 18 months before it was released, which contributed to squeezing this highly desirable “blockbuster”.
Crackdown 3
Microsoft demonstrated a game that uses cloud computing to speed up rendering and physics modeling to realistically create a ruined city. However, this dream did not come true, Crackdown 3 had to be delayed many times and lost many developers such as Cloudgine, Regeant Games and Dave Jones. The entire workload was then transferred to Sumo Digital and the studio had only one year left to perfect and release the game. Although it still retains the familiar style, the graphic style and most of the mechanics are not progressive compared to the first game released 12 years ago.
Rage 2
Rage 2 is not a bad game, surely players will be able to find something good in the game’s combat system. However, it is worth mentioning here that, while converging a lot of factors capable of creating a good game, Rage 2 is a product that is too ordinary in the crowd. All elements such as characters, worlds, and missions lack inspiration and individuality, which attracts gamers. Besides, the game also has technical issues and bugs, which has made the “child” of Id Software and Avalanche Studios become blurred.
Wolfenstein Youngblood
Designed as a standalone spin off of the popular FPS series but Wolfenstein Youngblood
cannot make a mark. The plot of the game is quite small, only revolves around controlling BJ Blazkowicz’s twin daughters to rescue her father from the cruel Nazis. Another annoying problem are bugs and technical glitches that sabotage and prevent players from having a good game experience.
Jump Force
Jump Force is really a game that satisfies the dreams of anime fans, the title fighting games This game has the appearance of many major franchises from Shonen Jump such as Dragon Ball, Bleach, Naruto, One Piece… However, what Jump Force brings is just a long download time, a world lacking in character. as well as unbalanced characters. Although the developer has tried to improve the game after that, some of the game’s early problems have not been fixed.
