Call of Duty Warzone hits 85 million gamers

In a press release, Activision revealed some of the latest records of Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone. According to published figures, more than 85 million people have played Warzone since its launch in March of this year. As a result, the number above contributes a large part to the total of 200 million Call of Duty players across platforms this year. Apparently, this is the most players of the CoD franchise in a single year.

The publisher also said the post-launch content and support from Treyarch’s new Call of Duty game will be the largest scale ever in Black Ops history, including “integrations” with Warzone. Call of Duty chief executive Byron Beede said: “This is the next chapter of Black Ops, which promises to bring a great campaign and experience completely new modes. Releasing the game is just the beginning. Our focus is on building a seamless system with a large amount of free content and events across all Call of Duty games.”​
