PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has promised a custom PUBG match for the game. Now, they have appeared in the test server through the open beta. While it’s currently free, developer PUBG Corp. may require players to pay for this system “for long-term maintenance”.
According to an update on Steam Community, PUBG Corp. Custom match allows players to “play PUBG your way” by customizing many aspects of the game, creating a private game, or following the available War and Zombie modes.
“During the beta period, custom games are currently limited to 10,000 concurrent games to ensure stable service. Creating a custom game will cost nothing at this stage. However, since it takes a lot of resources to create a custom game that is available to all players, we may charge a fee in the future for it to run properly and to ensure the system is long-lasting.” The developer said.
“We look forward to your feedback on the system and will announce more details about the system later.”
The rest of the update talks about the customization system: “map, number of people per team, current number of players” and shows us how the Custom Game will look. Now, custom PUBG is no longer limited to a few people (usually streamers and tournament organizers), so you can experience it on the test server right now.
