Top 25 highest earning CSGO players after IEM Katowice 2019

The IEM Katowice Major is over and Astralis is at the top once again. The Danish team crushed ENCE 2-0 in the final to take home a $1 million prize money and continue to be the highest-paid professional CSGO players of all time.

According to esportsearnings.com, each Astralis player now has more than $1 million playing CSGO. The only person who hasn’t reached these seven figures is Emil “Magisk” Reif, who joined Astralis in February 2018. However, in just one year, Magisk has won eight titles, including two Majors and above. both Intel Grand Slam Season 1.

Of the five Astralis members, Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth topped the group with $1.42 million in prize money. Xyp9x is also in the top 40 highest paid pro players of all time and is the only non-Dota 2 player to rank so high.

Opportunities for MIBR

The key members of MIBR are trailing behind 5 Astralis players, with Epictacio “TACO” de Melo having $907,000 for himself. The Brazilian boys are still far behind Xyp9x, but in the upcoming tournament they can at least catch up with Magisk.

MIBR is preparing to compete at WESG 2018 Grand Finals and is considered a championship candidate with weaker teams participating. First place will bring each member $100,000 and close the gap between TACO and FalleN to less than $10,000 with Magisk. Astralis will not attend WESG so the chances of MIBR are even higher.

We still have two more chances for MIBR to get into the top 5 when March ends. BLAST Pro Series Sao Paulo has a $125,000 prize pool, but MIBR needs to outperform Astralis at that tournament. Then there was StarSeries Season 7 with a $250,000 first prize: an event that didn’t feature Astralis but still featured FaZe Clan, Natus Vincere, Fnatic and Ence, among others.

Olofmeister’s Legacy

Olofmeister’s 14-time Major finished off the top 10 with a $755,000 prize pool. Olof has two Major titles for himself, but it falls at a time when the pre-prize is too low. In 2015, Cologne and Katowice, two Majors that Olof won with Fnatic, brought in just $250,000 – a quarter of the current Major prize money.
