Liquid won DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019 after defeating ENCE in the BO3 series.
The North American tycoon continued his winning streak and claimed his second consecutive major title. Liquid started off with a one-sided victory at Mirage. But the opponent from Finland quickly countered at Overpass and almost won Inferno. ENCE has sent a strong signal to Liquid that it has also won a major tournament this year and is a heavyweight in the top 10 in the world.
In addition, the most disadvantageous team in the rankings did not appear in Dallas this time. Having to watch the tournament at home, Astralis will surely lose the first place position that it has held for the past year.
Map Mirage got off to a chaotic start with a successful 5v5 ENCE retake before Liquid could respond with a forcebuy. The North American team quickly widened the lead to 7-2, but ENCE quickly tightened the defense to shorten the gap to 1 round.
The tight scoreline suggested that the second half would certainly be exciting, but that didn’t happen. Liquid deployed an almost perfect defensive wall and lost only 1 round before leading 16-8.

Going to Overpass, ENCE came back strong in map 2 and won 5 rounds in a row before Liquid had its own winning streak with the cheers of the home crowd. However, the cheers gradually became silent when sergej ‘outplay’ the opponent to reach the 14th round for his team. Liquid took control and reached the championship point before ENCE equalized in the final round to push the game to overtime.
The Finnish team played strongly in extra time and almost reached 3-0 on the T side. After switching sides, Liquid equalized 17-17 but allu clutched 1v3, allowing ENCE to win the next round – pushing the match. The final map is Inferno.

Liquid dominated, quickly leading 10-1. ENCE then stabilized their lineup and fought back for the rest of the first half to shorten the gap to five rounds.
xsevenN revived some hope after an unlikely 1v4 pistol clutch round. ENCE won 2 more rounds and interrupted Liquid’s winning streak with a mac-10.

Liquid gradually felt the pressure from the opponent. The boys stabilized their spirits and won three more rounds to win championshippoint again. ENCE showed that they were not ready to surrender and tried to find a way back. In the end, Stewie2K took 3 frags in banana, paving the way for Twistzz to finish the match with 2 kills on A to win.
