CSGO: What do we know about the new Dignitas lineup?

With Dignitas officially announcing the new roster, marking the organization’s return to the CS arena, many questions have been raised.

In this article, we’ll talk about the known and some of the new information gathered since the above announcement.

Formation:

-Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg
-Adam “friberg” Friberg
-Richard “Xizt” Landström
-Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund
-Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli

-Robin “Fifflaren” Johansson (coach)

This is a test lineup with most of the legendary names from the 1.6 era, namely f0rest and GeT_RiGht. In a YouTube video with Dignitas CEOs Michael Prindiville and Fifflaren, they talked about the “Vitality formula” with a core roster of seasoned players, centered around a young talent (Vitality’s ZywOo). And that young talent is hallzerk.

How was this squad formed?

According to information from the YouTube video and comments from Heather “sapphiRe” Garozzo, VP of Marketing at Dignitas, both sides are on the hunt for talent at the same time.

Prindiville, Garozzo, and Dignitas League of Legends CEO James Baker traveled to CSGO events around the world. They chatted with the teams while Fifflaren and friberg came up with a new team idea and quickly expanded to include Xizt.

“We’ve always wanted to have ‘swedish legends’ as our primary focus, but that didn’t happen until I contacted Xizt and realized I had everything to put together.” sapphiRe explains.

“Since I have a good relationship with the 5 legends, I knew from the start it would fit perfectly. They are still there, still ready to prove they can compete at the top. At DIG, we have the ability to “rebalance” (bringing LCS team Clutch Gaming from 9th place in the LCS to Worlds),” she added.

Location

Dignitas’ CSGO roster is said to not be moving to North America. However, the team will have boot camps and attend fan events at many of the organization’s locations, including Newark, Philadelphia, Houston, LA and Boston.

The team is currently booting camp in Sweden and officially training this week.

Role

Hallzerk will be the AWPer of the team and many believe that Xizt will be the IGL, however there is no official word on the IGL yet. The confirmation team has yet to define the remaining roles until the team figure out how to play it.

friberg used to have experience as a second caller during his Heroic days and this squad has a seasoned coach.

f0rest was not originally planned

Fifflaren said in Dignitas’ YouTube video that the team was initially looking for two players to join friberg, Xizt and hallzerk because the organization didn’t think it could get f0rest from Ninjas in Pajamas – his home for seven and a half years. via.

Fifflaren REALLY believes in GeT_RiGht

While the community is wondering if GeT_RiGhT should “hang up the mouse” after he broke up with NiP, Fifflaren believes that is too far away.

“You have a member who has been the best player in the world for many years, someone like that just can’t get out of the way,” he said. “It can’t happen.”
