In Apex Legends, there are two different LMGs: Spitfire and Devotion. And both are useful in certain situations.
For example, although the game has a variety of shotguns, you may prefer Peacekeeper because of its high damage or if you like faster fire rate you can choose EVA-8 Auto. But one thing everyone agrees on is that Mozambique will continue to lie on the ground until Respawn Entertainment decides to make the necessary adjustments to this gun.
However, for the two machine guns in the game, Spitfire and Devotion (although they have different names but have many similarities), we don’t know which one should we choose between Spitfire and Devotion?
Spitfire vs. Devotion
DAIQRY, one of the Apex Legends gamers, posted on YouTube analyzing the differences between these two guns, including fire rate, damage, and more.
One thing is for sure, Spitfire can fire instantly while Devotion needs to charge (charge) about a second before the bullet is released (or has to add a hop-up).
Here are the details of Spitfire and Devotion’s damage per bullet:
- Spitfire
- Body: 20 damage
- Head: 40 damage
- Devotion
- Body: 17 damage
- Head: 34 damage
Once Devotion has fired, the rate of fire will be faster than Spitfire and can deal more damage per shot.
So what is the answer? Spitfire or Devotion?
Spitfire is a good choice for the early game because players have to fight without the best equipment for themselves. However, in the later stages of the game, Devotion has more strengths and will be better against squads due to its higher fire rate.
So between Spitfire and Devotion which gun should I choose? In the video, it seems that the Spitfire is considered superior, but if you have Turbocharger for Devotion, you won’t have to wait 1 second for a charge to fire. Without the Turbocharger, it seems that the Spitfire is more profitable.
