Monster Hunter: World crossover with Resident Evil with Mr.X as companion

Capcom has long been known for its crossover events in unrelated titles. We got the Chocobo mount in Assassin’s Creed: Origins, and Geralt also featured in Monster Hunter: World.

Now, starting in November, Leon S. Kennedy and Clauire Redfield from the Resident Evil series also appear in Monster Hunter: World Iceborne. And together, they bring in another friend even though they were the player’s arch-enemies before.

Capcom releases new crossover trailer: Leon and Claire in traditional RE costumes are surrounded by zombies. But when everything seemed to be over, the zombies went to hunt monsters. Later, Leon and Claire also joined.

Things don’t get too strange until later in the video, when Mr. X shows up. He’s not here to kill anyone: Mr. X even holds a copy of Raccoon Magazine and is here to help. Leon even saved Mr. X in a critical situation.

From what we see in the trailer, Mr. X will be non-playable, but just a new skin for the Handler NPC, who gives players quests in Astera.

The bad news is that a specific time for this Monster Hunter: World Iceborn crossover event hasn’t been announced yet, and we still won’t be able to play the game on PC right away, as the PC version of Iceborne still has to wait until January 2020. A representative from Capcom said that this announcement is currently only for the console version of the game, and details on the PC content will be announced after Iceborne officially arrives on PC later.
