Dota 2: Things You Didn’t Know About Grimstroke’s Soulbind (Part 2)

In the beginning of Soulbindwe look at how skills like Sunder, Nether Swap, Life Break and Nether Strike work when two heroes are stuck Soulbind. This time we continue to look at the other skills and see how they interact with Soulbind.

1. Static Link only sucks damage from Soulbind-affected enemies, ie heroes not affected by Razor

Razer’s Static Link doesn’t affect both heroes when hit Soulbind. In theory, the fact that Razor steals damage from both and renders them useless is amazing. But in reality, Razor only sucks damage from unaffected heroes. In the video above, the target of the Static Link is Sven, but Ax is the hero that takes damage.

2. Tusk’s moves are not affected by Soulbind

Both Tusk’s skills, Snowball and Walrus Punch have no effect on the second hero. This skill only affects the affected hero, the other hero is tied by Soulbind will not take damage or stun.

3. Winter’s Curse affects both heroes, but only the second is attacked by allies

As the video above shows, when activating Winter’s Curse on Sven, teammates Shaman and Vengeful Spirit only attack Ax. It doesn’t matter who is closer, the main target will not take damage from allies.

4. Morphling Morph becomes the first effect object

Morphling’s Ultimate Morph is not complicated because Soulbind. As usual, Morphling transforms into the hero he intends to turn into. No need to fear turning into Ax when Ultimate takes aim at Sven again!

5. Stifling Dagger toss twice, meaning 3 Stifling Daggers will turn into 6 thrown Daggers

Does anyone hate the late game scenario where Phantom Assassin throws Dagger away, crits, and instantly kills a support even though the support is full of health? But if PA raises Stifling Dagger to throw 3 knives at once and affect the affected hero Soulbind, the number of knives will increase to 6. First 3 knives will be launched and then 3 more knives. Imagine the amount of damage the crit jump takes.
