Elemental dragons of the present time are too old and no longer suitable because of the difference in strength between them. To fix that, Riot will roll out a big kind of change in the 2020 preseason, first in terms of maps and dragons.
2020 preseason key map and dragon changes
1. Dragon fire
The first is about the Fire Dragon, which is considered to be the most powerful among the four elemental types. When it was about to spawn, it would spit fire to melt the terrain. Specifically, it will melt the entrance to the dragon cave, creating a wider entrance. At the same time, it also randomly destroys a terrain in the forest, allowing the player to pass through. With the appearance of the fire dragon, promises to create extremely dangerous and unexpected Gank phases.
When killing the fire dragon, the whole team will still receive a buff that increases Ability Power and Attack Power.
2. Water Dragon
When the water dragon is about to appear, it brings life to the plants. The grass bushes will now thrive, both in the dragon’s cave and in the forest. Also create more restorative berries. The map will now come to life with all the plants growing in abundance, but beware of those bushes!
When killing water dragons, the team will be healed per second based on the percentage of missing health, and will no longer be restored to the same mana regen as before.
3. Dragon land
If the fire dragon brings destruction, on the contrary, the earth dragon brings rebirth to the terrain. Earth dragons will create impenetrable random terrain on the map and door of the dragon cave. This topographic change will create unexpected blind spots and creative havens.
Defeating earth dragons, the whole team will be buffed to increase armor and magic resistance instead of increasing damage to buildings and epic monsters like before.
4. Dragon wind
True to the name of the Wind Dragon, the terrain areas in the forest and dragon cave will become the wind zones to increase movement speed for the generals.
In particular, when killing wind dragons, the team will receive a buff to reduce the final cooldown. Quite useful compared to before, isn’t it.
5. Summary
As can be seen, the elemental dragons had their strength rebalanced, and there was no longer the same disparity as before. Now each dragon in addition to buffing, also creates diverse terrains, promising to create more creative and transformative gameplay.
