1. Join the campaign to learn the basics

Learn all about killing enemies through the story-driven campaign with 15 missions. You’ll be introduced to the entire core mechanics of the game and the 3 gangs, along with their powers, perks, and other traits. You’ll get your fair share of loyalty, backstabbing, and bloody carnage, courtesy of veteran Necromunda and writer Andy Chambers.

2. Make the most of the movement system

Before you rush off and be ambushed by an Orlock, slashed by an Escher, or crushed by a Goliath waiting somewhere, think about where you’re going. Thanks to a gridless movement system, Necromunda: Underhive Wars gives you considerable freedom over where you go, how you get there, and the accuracy of where you go.

3. Use Underhive’s environment to your advantage

Underhive is a vast and harsh place, filled with pitfalls and dangers. Use them to gain an advantage over your enemies. Trick your opponent into deadly air vents before swinging to safety, or use barricades to make your gang less vulnerable… The possibilities are endless, so keep an eye out. Pay attention to interactive objects, physical locations, and shielding opportunities and make the most of them.

4. Protect your high rank whenever possible

In Necromunda, climbing to a high position is both a figurative and literal goal. The high position greatly increases your accuracy and resistance. Characters must also achieve a higher rank to be able to use some skills. Once in that position, you’ll need to protect your advantage and prevent enemies from reaching you by using a variety of tools.

5. Control the movement of enemies like Overwatch and Ambush

When it’s your turn, your characters can apply some defensive stances like Overwatch and Ambush, which will make them automatically attack moving enemies that may appear in melee or ranged range. Enemies caught off guard against these will also be interrupted, forced to stop moving to the previously assigned location and locked in the current position.

6. Weapon Special Skill

Make sure you always make the most of your weapon’s special skills like Trick Shot, Heavy Barrage, and Aimed Shot. These skills will allow you to finish off multiple enemies, cover a large area with a rain of bullets, and deal massive debuffs and damage to the main target. Also, keep in mind gang-specific perks by varying your playstyle to match their strengths. For example, Escher will deal extra poison damage in melee combat, further weakening their opponents.

7. Sabotage & Tinker Character Classes

The Saboteur and Lay Mechanic classes can turn the machines and dangers of the Underhive to their will. Destroy an interactive object to disable it or make it dangerous to enemies like Saboteur or repair or alter it with Tinker’s skills. Controlling interactions like lifts, ziplines, and gear adds another layer of tactics to the battlefield, so make sure you don’t overlook them.

8. Upgrade and strengthen your warrior

Your gang is built around your needs. Start by recruiting a leader, then customize the equipment and weapons for the 15 members of the gang in the most detailed way. Prioritize additional skills and passive skills, as your force levels up and grows in strength, choose from 5 distinct warrior jobs as well as a variety of weapons, armor, and consumables different. As your gang grows, they will acquire various natural talents that you will also need to manage to form the right squad to accomplish your goals.
