Yakuza developers reveal new projects?

RGG Studio, the developer of the hit series Yakuza, plans to announce a new project in the next 2 weeks.

Recently, RGG Studio opened a website to countdown called Judgment Day. According to the website, the countdown event will end on May 7.

If you have followed the Yakuza series, surely readers will not be strange with Judgment (or Judge Eyes in Japan). This is a spin-off series of the Yakuza game series with the main character Takayuki Yagami (played by the Japanese male god Takuya Kimura). Unlike Kiryu, Yagami is a lawyer and that greatly affects the gameplay of the game.

Back to the countdown story, SEGA and RGG Studio also booked two Livestream events on the official Youtube channels of RGG Studio and SegaAmerica on May 7.

This is remarkable because so far, the games of the Yakuza series are usually announced at Japanese events first and then on international YouTube channels. This suggests that RGG Studio’s next project is likely to be launched globally on the same day, similar to other major games from Japan like Resident Evil.

So what will this next project be? A few weeks ago, some leakers reported that RGG Studio copyrighted a new name, “Lost Judgment”. Therefore, it can be believed that this will be a sequel to the game.

Even so, there are many who hope that this will be the announcement for Judgment coming to PC. The reason is that at the moment, the game can only be played on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Stadia services.

Regardless, it can be believed that the next project of the developer Yakuza will be a top action game that cannot be missed.
