The Farm 51, creator of Get Even, Painkiller: Hell and Damnation, and Necrovision games, has announced their latest project. This is a modern multiplayer FPS war game called World War 3. The new game will be “large-scale battles combining infantry, armored vehicles and drones,” and of course the game will also have a mode. A separate Battle Royale level called Recon.
Recon mode will be smaller, based on small groups of troops with the task of taking over locations. Warzone mode is more tactical, with armies based on real combat troops and real-life locations like Warsaw, Berlin, and Moscow. The overall view of the war will show up on the tactical map: Killing, destroying vehicles and any achievements will affect the outcome of the war.
World War 3 is slated to release this year, with The Farm 51 saying they will “grow for the community” when the game launches. “As an indie studio, we take community feedback very seriously to create enjoyable and memorable experiences,” the studio said. “We want to invite you, players, to join us in making World War 3 the game you’ve always wanted to play.”
The announced trailer looks pretty good, but it still doesn’t say anything about the game. It looks like a lot of potential – it makes us wonder if the studio is capable of making miracles. The company’s Get Even was promised a lot but the results were not as expected, and the same thing happened with Painkiller: Hell vand Damnation, and Necrovision.
