World of Warcraft's Latest Cinematic Reveals Sylvanas' Callousness To Her Kindred

Continuing the Warbringers series, Blizzard has just released the Cinematic trailer Warbringers: Sylvanas. The video finally answers a question fans have been asking for months: Who burned Teldrassil, the world tree?

The video shows Sylvanas arriving before a dying Night Elf. After remembering her painful past about becoming the Banshee Queen – with Arthas breaking her soul, just like what happened in Warcraft 3 – Sylvanas decided to burn Teldrassil on fire.

For those who don’t know, this event had a huge impact on the world of Warcraft. The world trees are not only the home of the Night Elves, they are also the connection between the world of Azeroth and the Emerald Dream. Teldrassil is also home to families who cannot resist, making this attack almost entirely aimed at innocent people.

The destruction of Teldrassil and Darnassus, the city settled just beneath the branches, was the first step in sparking war between the Horde and the Alliance in the Battle for Azeroth. During the following week, King Anduin of the Alliance will lead an assault on Undercity in the Battle for Lordaeron, the aftermath of Sylvanas’ attacks on Teldrassil.

Warbringers: Azshara, the final installment of the series, is out next week in preparation for the Battle for Azeroth expansion, which arrives on August 14. The first part is about Jaina Proudmoore’s melancholy epic.
