World of Warcraft no longer has to pay for the game, and all old expansions are free

Blizzard has changed the operating structure in World of Warcraft. This means that players will no longer have to pay to enjoy the game. Before that, users needed to buy a Battle Chest first to be able to play the game, not to mention the monthly fee after that.

But now, this will no longer be the case. Battle Chests are no longer available on Battle.net, and the monthly subscription page says users can jump right into the game and pay only a monthly fee.

“Join World of Warcraft and every expansion from before up to Legion for a monthly fee – nothing more. Start your journey today and play to level 110 in six expansions.”

In other words, you still have to buy the Battle of Azeroth expansion if you want to play it. But if not, you can still play all the previous expansions for just a monthly fee.

In the past, Blizzard has always made old expansions free with every new release, so it won’t make much of a difference to long-term players. But if you are new to this MMO game, the cost to play is now cheaper than ever.

With the Battle of Azeroth version, it will be released on August 14.
