Where will SumaiL go after leaving the OG lineup?

https://gameworld.vn/59300/huong-dan-choi-pugna-support-trong-dota-2/

Syed “SumaiL” Hassan played less than 6 months with OG when he was once again without a team. Although OG owns the top Dota 2 stars, the team did not have positive results. They made an impressive debut in the ESL One Los Angeles European Qualifiers, but fell short after that.

Now again with no winners, no one knows what will happen to SumaiL. But one thing is for sure, some teams are confident that they will be greatly improved if they own SumaiL’s talent.

Why was SumaiL disqualified by OG?

It is not clear what caused SumaiL to be dropped from the OG roster. The organization gave no explanation other than that Sebastian “Ceb” Debs will return to play. SumaiL’s disqualification could be due to geographical difficulties when limited to flying, difficulty transitioning to the carry role, or internal conflicts between SumaiL and teammates.

With SumaiL gone, the OG roster looks like this:

  1. Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng
  2. Topias Miikka “Topson” Taavitsainen
  3. Sébastien “Ceb” Debs
  4. Martin “Saksa” Sazdov
  5. Johan “N0tail” Sundstein

One thing we can be sure of is that SumaiL has not stopped his Dota 2 career.

Only 21 years old, he still has many career years ahead of him. A lot of teams will want to bring in this talent. The next question is who will SumaiL play for next?

Can SumaiL reunite with Evil Geniuses?

Evil Geniuses made a bold decision with a roster of players from four different regions in the 2019-2020 Dota Pro Circuit season, and SumaiL was among those who had to make the sacrifices for this change. While the new roster was strong at first, they haven’t been able to play together since March due to flight restrictions.

Abed “Abed” Azel L. Yusop is one of the players most affected. Abed was largely inactive while at home in the Philippines, playing only one event as a stand-in for TNC Predator while Evil Geniuses was dependent on Eric “Ryoya” Dong to replace him. The initial results were quite good, but the team is slowly losing its position.

While Ryoya proved to be well-adapted at Evil Geniuses, SumaiL will definitely be a better upgrade pick in mid. Not to mention he’ll be reuniting with most of the EG 2018-2019 roster, so the team shouldn’t have a problem in North America.

The problem lies in the fact that SumaiL was not accidentally dropped from Evil Geniuses. The team chose to part ways with SumaiL after four years together without sharing the reason. However, after the change since September, the organization should reconsider its decision. If SumaiL’s former teammates Andreas Franck “Cr1t-” Nielsen, Tal “Fly” Aizik and Artour “Arteezy” Babaev don’t want to bring him back, the EG door for SumaiL will be closed.

However, successful teams are willing to put their personal disagreements aside if they can perform well. For this reason, SumaiL’s reunion with Evil Geniuses is still highly probable.

There are many teams for SumaiL to choose from

North America has no shortage of potential destinations for SumaiL. The most reasonable house is probably CR4ZY. The North American team is led by former teammate Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling and has been performing well over the past year. The carry position in the sub-team is empty, SumaiL can join and create a breakthrough for the team.

Another former teammate he could reunite with is Clinton “Fear” Loomis. Fear currently plays for Business Associates, but hasn’t had a stable mid laner since April. Jack “EternaLEnVy” Mao is currently playing mid, but EE’s boss is still the carry. Business Associates can reach a new level with participation in SumaiL.

Although SumaiL has conflicts with former teammates like Peter “ppd” Dager as well as rumors of instability with other teammates, he has no grudge against Fear.

Another possibility is a completely new lineup. Before the announcement of the presence of regional tournaments, many esports multi-sport organizations wanted to participate in Dota 2, including Cloud9, CR4ZY and Infinity Esports. This shows that esports organizations are very fond of this format. Although many organizations have left Dota 2 in the past months, things can return once these tournaments are well planned.

SumaiL is a player who wants to stay with the team for a long time, and North America is a fertile ground for major esports organizations to participate. Evil Geniuses is the only big name in the region and nothing can stop organizations like 100 Thieves or Immortals from signing players in the region.

Quite surprisingly, one of the unlikely landings was Quincy Crew. SumaiL had previously played for the team briefly, forcing the team to eliminate mid laner Quin “CCnC” Callahan or his brother Yawar “YawaR” Hassan while the team was in high form. It was a good idea for SumaiL to play with his brother, but it doesn’t seem like this is the time.

Regional tournaments will kick off in September or October in 2020. Once they arrive, SumaiL will surely find its next home.
