2017 was boring because we only added 3 new heroes. After Prince Arthas appeared in Knights of the Frozen Throne, we still have 2 classes with no heroes in reserve. By October, just two months later, Warlocks finally had a new hero of its own, a cute gnome: Nemsy Necrofizzle.
Druid is currently the last class without a new hero and we still don’t know when the new face will appear. Hopefully, to get new heroes for Druid, we don’t have to join Fireside Gatherings clubs like the way Nemsy did.
Let players show off their stuff! It would be nice if we could get more fashion items in the game, either from the shop.
- There are many options to develop more card backs based on different criteria
- Give the player a Flair (icon, effect) for the nickname. It can be displayed next to or under its name.
- Flair can give us a place to display a stat (like total brawls won, total arena wins, highest legend rank).
- Flair can be a medal to show off your achievements.
- Add many cool effects for heroes. Why stop at only 500 wins!?
Some good ideas Hearthstone could add:
- A card back in the shop costs 10,000 gold. The purpose of the card back is to show off how rich you are. Upgrade it by paying another 10,000 gold
- Something special when all 9 classes hit 500 wins. If Hearthstone is already tracking this stat, at least one more card back!
- Reward players with a card back if they hit the Legend more than once. Golden Legend Cardback!
- Borders of Golden heroes can add new effects. The effects of that class card will be increased, for example, the frost effects of the Mage will be better if you win more with that class.
- Flair for the base stats – total wins, total arena wins, and more that can be displayed in-game.
- Flair in the shop for you to attach to your avatar. A flash Hunter card, a cute face of Murky.
- Replace it with your profile picture – they might show up in your friends list!
- Overwatch, Heroes of the Storm, Starcraft II, and StarCraft Remastered all feature avatars. Even Diablo III lets you choose the border for your avatar.
- More interaction on your board – more stuff for you to play with! Buy them in the shop or get rewards after completing quests.
These are just some of the things Hearthstone can do to make the game and each of us even more special.
In September, there was an article about how Tarven Brawls had become too boring because of the repetition. And repeating more than half of the Tavern Brawl is not a good way. It can create negative reactions in the community. This negativity will definitely make players hate Tavern Brawls.
If we add more new brawls to the game, we can continuously enjoy new experiences with Hearthstone and see less negative talk about the Hearthstone team being “lazy”. If this negative attitude is everywhere and is only being read by potential players, then this is not a good thing. Hopefully, Hearthstone will consider carefully before they decide to add the next Tavern Brawl.
There’s a lot of negative controversies going on in the Hearthstone community and a lot of these controversies don’t fit, but are very ‘toxic’. We should try to contribute to the debate with more constructive, positive comments.
- Attacking game developers, pros or other players simply because ‘they’re annoying’ won’t get us anywhere, and this is something perhaps our community needs to improve on.
- Saying this one card, deck, or way of playing ‘bad/stupid/bad/cancer/abc’ really doesn’t help. Please explain your decision to encourage people to contribute and guide others to play.
Not only Hearthstone, but with other games and communities, you should also have a more positive and contributing attitude. That way, everything around will be much better.
