Welcome to the Game 2 is a first-person horror game about hacking. You play as journalist Clint Edwards trying to rescue a woman named Amalea from a mysterious group of masked assassins. The only clue is the clip calling for help from Amalea. So to track her down, you need to dive into the deep web, the icebergsubmersible is not present on browsers or search technologies.

Your goal is to find 8 “mysterious clues” embedded in the deep web and use them to locate Amalea. You work in an apartment building using a computer with a web browser, notepad and access to sales pages with ‘DOScoin.’

You’ll spend most of your time on your computer scanning through scanned pages, source code, and a bunch of library files. You will have to hack through minigames and puzzles, but they are not too difficult. You will have to check news sites for hidden links, match IP addresses, and probably a lot of other things to make you think.

In addition, journalists also have to protect themselves by erasing traces and hiding on the Internet. The assassins chasing Amalea can also find you if you leave a loophole and get exposed. Sometimes, they simply hack and rob your DOScoin or destroy research, but other times, they will stop by the apartment building, of course with a weapon in hand. For that part, you can earn DOScoins to defeat other hackers and use them to buy stealth tools and software and motion detection cameras in case someone visits.

You can’t fight in Welcome to the Game 2, so when the assassins knock on your door, all you can do is turn off the lights and choose a hidden place to hide. You have to lock the door, watch the windows, and sometimes have to leave your room to hide somewhere in the apartment – ​​like the circuit breaker room if the assassin tries to cut the power. More interestingly, if you have a microphone attached to your computer, the game will also accept it. If you make too many noises like gasping for breath, it won’t take long for nearby assassins to find you. You can turn this feature off, but then what’s the thrill?
