Twitch’s new headquarters is located in San Francisco, and just walking in makes you wish you could stay here forever.
This past week, Amazon’s Twitch live-streaming platform invited a number of Business Insider writers to tour its new headquarters in San Francisco, California.
This 9-storey office is like a paradise for gamers with 2 gaming rooms for 6 people, 2 live-stream rooms and 1 full of entertainment products.
Kate Jhaveri, Marketing Director of Twitch, told BI about the concept behind the design of the new headquarters.
“What we wanted was to bring Twitch to life. Sometimes it feels like stepping into another land with Twitch. This office space also needs to have that feeling.
We want to bring a lot of great content to Twitch, whether it’s games, TV shows, art shows or music…”

Twitch’s new headquarters is on Bush Street, San Francisco
Upon entering, everyone is greeted by Vault Boy, the iconic character from the “Fallout” series. Not only Vault Boy, there are many game characters waiting for you in Twitch’s office.
Immediately after, visitors must check-in at the counter, sign a non-disclosure agreement when visiting Twitch headquarters.
After signing the commitment, you can pass this glass door system.
The first destination is Twitch’s gaming room, which has room for 6 vs. 6. Most of Twitch’s employees in San Francisco were “gosu” in the past.
Popular games here include “League of Legends”, “Fortnite”, “Dota 2” and “PUBG”.
Besides the gaming gear, there is also a row of seats for the audience to watch.
Inside the 2 livestream rooms for professional streamers, the equipment is even more complete and majestic.
Naturally, the coffee room is a must in many tech companies.
However, in Twitch there is no cappuccino, it must be called “Kappucino”. Simply because “Kappa” is the most used emoji on Twitch, even becoming the mascot of this platform.
Another familiar character was erected outside the glass door of the coffee room.
Right next to it is Flynn’s Arcade, named after the game area in the movie “Tron”.
“Street Fighter,” “Donkey Kong,” and many more legendary arcade games are available.
And yet, there are also old game consoles such as Nintendo 64, GameCube … connected to the old screen and size. The truth is that monitors of this type are more suitable for gaming because of the faster response speed than LCD screens.
The game is often not enough, do you want to continue to explore this Boardgame cabinet?
Like a sort of Easter-Egg, characters from Pacman are found in every nook and cranny of the Twitch San Francisco headquarters.
Under the floor…
… Even in the snack cabinet
In particular, the headquarters has a large canteen providing about 2000 meals per day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, even vegan, sugar-free food is available.
Most of the rooms are covered with murals painted by Twitch staff or streamers.
The dining room is also the meeting room every Tuesday, the rest of the week the big screen is streamed.
The Twitch San Francisco headquarters has a total of 9 floors.
According to the spokesperson, at least 1 million people were watching the stream on Twitch at the time this photo was taken, requiring staff to handle a tremendous amount of work.
One of many Twitch staff meetings.
Area dedicated to solving IT problems for employees.
Yes, there is also a charging cabinet for all kinds of devices to ensure uninterrupted work.
Each meeting room is decorated with a variety of themes, from Pokemon to Stranger Things.
Too stuffy from sitting in the house all day? There is a whole area for sunbathing.
Very cool, each new employee will be given a purple balloon for everyone to know to say hello.
Also, when it comes to Twitch, it’s impossible to mention purple, even the power cord is purple…
